Happy Friday to you my friend! Wow, we made it through another week, first full week of February. I am secretly excited about Valentines Day. What about you? I have added some fun Valentines Day Decor for your home here on my Friday Favorites. Everything today, is coming from Target. I don’t know about you, but I love Target. I could spend hours there and for me it is much more exciting going to Target then shopping online at Target. The only problem though is then I end up purchasing too many things. Lately, because I am doing the The Joyful Home Project, I am being very careful on what I purchase. We don’t want so much “stuff” in our home.

This Candle smells amazing. I purchased it for my Daughter’s Room. My two younger daughters share a room and they love to have one of our dog’s in the room. Well you know what happens with dogs, they don’t always smell beautiful, so a candle like this one does the trick. And this candle is perfect for a Valentines Gift to yourself or someone else.

Week #6 - The Joyful Home Project - Glam it Up!

We are doing great! We are now on Week #6 of The Joyful Home Project and I am sharing with you today how to Glam it Up! That is right, Glam It Up with your Beauty/Makeup Organization. Do you have makeup everywhere? Do you have lotion, cream, moisturizer, makeup, perfume, body spray, and everything else but the kitchen sink to organize? I know, I feel you, me too! You want it out, so it is easy to get to, but then it just takes over and your husband or boyfriend is going crazy with all your “stuff!”

This week we will tackle our Beauty Routine/Makeup Routine and Organize the heck out of it. I don’t want to tell you exactly what to do, because we are all different and we all use different beauty products. That being said, I will help guide you to sanity with your Beauty/Makeup Organization. Glam it Up!

First -

Throw away any products you have not used for six months. If you have not used them in the last six months, you will probably never use them again. The only item I keep longer than six months is Red Lipstick (because I rarely use it), Nail Polish, and Perfume.

Second -

Make piles for each category.

• Perfume/Body Spray’s

• Moisturizer’s

• Lotions

• Eye Makeup

• Lips

• Face Makeup

• Serum’s

• Brushes

Third-

Where are you going to store all these items? Some categories might go in a drawer or a cabinet and the others might go on top of a vanity to display. After you have figured out where all your categories will go, you can go to the store or shop online for any containers you might need. Don’t purchase containers until you do this step first.

Fourth -

Mood Board Monday - January 28, 2019

Happy Monday! I was feeling more neutral this week, inspired by a Vacation Home I am currently working on in the Mountains near Yosemite National Park. In Yosemite, you are surrounded by Nature and Beauty. This time of year it is pretty cold and he has been snowing but none the less, a neutral vibe with warmth and texture sets the scene for my Mood Board Monday this week.

I am loving this chair from Lee Industries. A combination of Leather and Upholstery is the perfect combination for this neutral vibe.

Sleepy, Meet Sexy. We are focusing on our Master Bedroom this week. Your Master Bedroom should be one part restful, and one part seductive. When you think Master Bedroom think about only two things, rest and intimacy. It is time to get rid of distraction in your Master Bedroom. In your Master Bedroom these are the only products/items you should have.

• Good Mattress

• Amazing Sheets

• Plush Bedding - Cozy Blanket(s) and Comforter

• Side Tables and or Dressers used as side tables

• Dresser if you need one

• New Sleeping Pillows Every Year

Your Master Bedroom should not have personal photos, no television, and no technology. I know this is probably going to be hard for you, but these items do not belong in a Master Bedroom. Your bedroom should feel calming, relaxing, dramatic, seductive, it should smell amazing and look amazing. Don’t forget to make your bed everyday.

I know this is a sensitive subject but lets chat really quick about kids in the bedroom. The bottom line, is you have to do what is right for you but I would highly recommend you keep the kids from sleeping in your bed. The best thing I ever did in all my homes is put a bed for adults in my babies rooms. My kids have never slept in my bed and they think it is really weird that some kids sleep with their parents. By providing an adult bed in their rooms you can sleep with them when they need you; when they are sick and or scared. They learn very quick this is their space, they learn to love their space, and they enjoy when you are there for them too. You have to remember the bed is made for two not three, four, or more!!! How did you bring these little cuties into the world? I am guessing, there was not anyone else in your bed!!!

Focus this week on bringing warmth, drama, and seduction into your bedroom.

Friday Favorites - January 25, 2019

We made it through another week! I love Fridays and today, I have some great finds for you. Let’s get started with my Friday Favorites.

First, this Sweater Vase from Hobby Lobby is making me feel so warm and cozy inside. I don’t know if you can purchase it online. Just take a trip to your Local Hobby Lobby and get yourself one.

This Little Vase is everything. I purchased some flowers and placed a glass inside the vase and there you have it. Beautiful!!! I purchased this at Hobby Lobby as well.

I was looking for the perfect pot/planter for a plant. I really was not sure what I wanted, and then this one jumped out at me. It’s a concrete planter pot from Target. Yes!!! I found this inside my Local Target but I also found you a link and they have three sizes. Here is your link

Now, something that I just discovered online, and I am really loving it is this Pivot Chair from Young House Love on Wayfair. I mean, this could be my new favorite chair for Vacation Homes. It looks Modern enough for my style in Vacation Homes, it’s Gray, and it has removable cushions. I love it.

And lastly, I will leave you with this amazing moisturizer. Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer. This Moisturizer is amazing, one of the best I have ever used.

4 Hosting Tips for Airbnb Owners

Hi you! I have some great hosting tips for you, in Fact these are my 4 Top Hosting Tips for Airbnb Owners that nobody has ever shared with you!

Let’s get right to it.

My First Tip is Add Plants to your Vacation Home. You can add Faux or Real plants whatever works for your situation. My recommendation is to do a combination of both real and faux plants. You have to think about who is taking care of the home, is it you or a Property Manager? If it is a Property Manger will they charge more to take care of the plants. Some Property Manager’s don’t like any plants and some don’t like Faux plants because they don’t want to dust them. So again, you need to do what is best for your situation but adding plants make the home for inviting and more cozy.

My Second Tip is to add a Wifi Code Art Piece to your Space so it is easy for your guests to see the Wifi Password. Nobody wants to have to look for the Wifi password. If you know how to make one yourself, go for it and frame it otherwise look on Etsy for someone to do one for you.

My Third Tip is to add a Coverlit at the ends of the beds. You might have noticed these at Hotels and just thought they were for decoration but they actually serve a purpose. What most people do when they arrive to your home, is they put their suitcase on the bed. If guest after guest keep putting their suitcase on the end of the bed, your quilt or comforter start getting damaged. So invest in a Coverlit for the end of the beds and when they get worn, replace them and not your entire bed. Here are some examples from two of my favorite hotels in Carmel.

My Fourth Tip is to have Games and Activities at your Airbnb. Board games, outdoor games, and playing cards are great to have at your Airbnb. If families are coming to your home, they will be very excited to have games and activities provided. Everyone is extremely busy now, so when they go on a little vacation they like to indulge in things they don’t usually get to do. Get creative here!
